Working with the design team and a food service consultant, Sweetwater renovated, in phases, 3 floors of this skilled nursing and assisted living facility. The scope of work consisted of the 5th floor renovated into 3 wings, 2 households of long-term care and 1 short-term care with therapy. The 4th floor converted into two wings of assisted living apartments and common areas to include kitchen, dining areas, living areas, staff support and activity space. A 3rd floor activity area was converted to a dining area with a serving kitchen for assisted living.

Sweetwater recently completed construction of this ground-up assisted living and memory care residence that offers 48 rooms/68 beds, 4 dining rooms and kitchens, a commercial kitchen and 4 family rooms. 1,500 square feet of community and amenity areas include a salon, activity room, and community gathering room. This four-wing building has open air courtyards in the center and a lovely winding path with large covered patio. The project included extensive site work.

Sweetwater renovated this occupied facility (under new management) in phases to convert 61 resident rooms to assisted living (AL) and memory care (ALZ). Scope of work included updates with new kitchens, bath fixtures, finishes, lighting and flooring in resident rooms, corridors, nurses’ stations and common areas (game, dining, TV and sensory rooms). A commercial-grade laundry area was also created. The improvements covered code changes for AL and ALZ licensing.

Oversaw multiple phases of renovation at this fully occupied assisted living facility. The first was a reconfiguration with upgrades to the common areas of the Hospice unit, including addition of a new entryway with ramp.
Phase 2 is a complete renovation to the entire 3rd floor (24,000 sf) with new HVAC, sprinklers, electric. Included corridors, large common area, 2 new commercial kitchens, and 3 new spa rooms with lockers, showers and hydrotherapy pools
Phase 3 is a renovation of the common areas of the 1st floor (27,500 sf).
Because the community census is always at 100%, it is paramount to execute construction with minimal interruption to resident’s activities and rest.

Sweetwater performed renovations to the Fellowship Commons building as part of FSL’s repositioning program. A 4,000 square-foot renovation of the existing cafe to create a new tapas bar and lounge was first. Architectural aesthetics include pub-style millwork and glazing, coffered ceiling with specialty lighting, and varied high-end floor finishes. The expanded outdoor area features a 3-season patio with fireplace, fire pits, gazebo, outdoor bar and grill, and putting green. A billiards room was included. The library received alterations to include finishes, millwork and lighting.

HEALTH CENTER - This share of the program is a multi-phased renovation of the 4-story health center. The current phase was a mix of AL, Memory, LTC, and Rehab units altered and refreshed. The traditional layout of rooms and long hallways will be reconfigured to reflect an innovative person-centered household model. Small additions were constructed to add sunrooms.
The resulting configuration has resident rooms, dining, kitchens, lounges and staff areas on every floor. Amenities include salons, spa suites, meeting rooms, private dining, courtyard seating, and staff lounges/lockers/kitchen/wellness.

This phase included a 2-story building addition for the new state-of-the-art fitness center and spa. The upper level offers cardio, strength and functional training space, fitness studio, with reception desk and office. The lower level consists of the salon/spa and two club locker rooms with sauna, connecting to the pool.
Pickle ball courts, bocci ball, shuffleboard, a pergola and nature trails will be added, with additional improvements to landscaping.

Phase 1 completed for this new steel-frame construction of a premier assisted living community. The three-story building, with an 8,000 square-foot courtyard, will offer 130 units of memory care and assisted living. Amenities include a salon, fitness, activity, movie, and exam rooms, a full commercial kitchen, dining on all floors, and an outdoor kitchen.
