Ron is responsible for overall management and guidance of this dynamic general construction and construction management firm. A graduate of Drexel University, he has 32 years of experience with clients in the hospitality, multi-family, senior care, science & technology industries, and corporate interior industries. Ron has supervised various-sized projects across most of the market sectors in which Sweetwater provides construction services and brings the highly developed partnering skills, integrity and honesty to the project team. “Integrity and honesty are hallmarks of the Sweetwater Way, instilled in me by my father and the founder of Sweetwater.”

Ron’s spare time is spent with his wife, three kids, and three dogs relaxing in Long Beach Island and watching his youngest daughter play softball for Franklin & Marshall College. At home, he watches reruns of Cheers and The Big Bang Theory, “a good laugh does my soul well!”

Nancy left a nursing career in 1989 to run the business development efforts for a construction management firm led by her husband, Ron Sr. Her hard work as Vice President has taken the company from $500,000 to $100 million over the past 31 years. She continues to market Sweetwater and cultivate clients through repeat business and success in many construction sectors, especially Senior Living.

Nancy loves to run with her dogs, play golf regularly, and travel extensively.

Executive Vice President – Preconstruction & Business Development

Gary Coopersmith brings over 30 years of experience in laboratory, cleanroom, cGMP, and healthcare projects to his position as head of Preconstruction and Marketing/Business Development for Sweetwater. In addition, Gary is responsible for overseeing select projects from pre-construction through completion, particularly on Science and Technology projects. Previously working from the owner’s perspective, he was employed at two of New Jersey’s largest Pharmaceutical-Life Sciences operating companies.

Gary holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Lafayette College and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Once a year Gary hikes and rock-climbs the trails of northern and southern Arizona to chill out and spend time with his family. We’re still waiting for photos to prove it…

Bob Chemi is a 41-year veteran of the construction industry and is extremely successful in all aspects of interior construction. He joined Sweetwater in 1997 and has become an expert in multi-phase renovations and relocations. Bob is responsible for all preconstruction and construction activities in the execution of value engineering efforts, including estimating, constructability analyses, and scheduling. As Director of Interior Construction, Bob oversees each project for maintaining the project schedule, cost control, quality and safety, to ensure milestones are met.

Bob attended Seton Hall University in New Jersey and Catawba College in Greensboro, North Carolina. When he is not beautifying building interiors, Bob hangs out with family, works out and dreams of having time to play golf someday.

As a distinguished veteran of Sweetwater, Mr. Metz has 44 years of construction experience with the firm. Luke is responsible for all field operations, working together with our field forces, Safety Director, and insurance company to ensure full compliance with state and federal requirements, safe jobsites, and training is performed when needed or required.

He attended Kean College in New Jersey, and is certified in Quality Management, OSHA, First Aid & CPR.

Boating and fishing are Luke’s favorite pastimes, but on terra firma he enjoys golf, fine steak, and a great glass of cabernet.

Maureen has been a member of the “Sweetwater Family” for 22 years, and a member of the Witt Family since 1996! She manages the payroll and healthcare benefits for the company, along with other Accounting and HR responsibilities. Prior to working for Sweetwater, she was in the banking industry for 19 years.

Maureen loves spending time at the beach with her family, friends and 3 dogs.

Dave Johnson

Dave re-joined Sweetwater in 2015, as Chief Estimator, to oversee all estimating and procurement activities for a staff of four. With 30 years’ experience estimating construction, he has a thorough knowledge of building types, methods and materials, subcontractor capabilities and labor issues. Dave is a graduate of Concordia University-Ann Arbor and has a Construction Management Diploma from NYU.

He is a husband, and a father of two, who coaches youth basketball and is the CYO treasurer for his church.

As the Controller, Fred is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of this $100 million company. With 28 years in the financial operations and accounting industry, 8 as a controller, Fred has a thorough knowledge of all financial, technical, and in-depth operational acumen for many types of construction companies which includes job cost reporting, subcontractor management and payment, AR/AP, constructing and analyzing Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports, company financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. He is a graduate of Rutgers University with a B.A. in Mathematics and earned an M.B.A. at Indiana University, with a concentration in finance and accounting.

During his spare time, Fred enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, coaching or watching his kids play team sports, skiing, golf, and trying out restaurants of various cuisines with his family and friends.

Roger Mohabir brings 15 years of comprehensive occupational health and safety experience to the Sweetwater Team. Roger's primary responsibility is to direct the company Safety Program.

Prior project experience has been primarily in the New York City area. Roger has several NYC Department of Building site safety certifications, as well as his OSHA certification.
