Sweetwater performed this interior fitout to create an outpatient dialysis center. The 8,000 square-foot space contains 17 open stations and an enclosed isolation room, around a nurse’s station. Reception and waiting area also include a computer/activity alcove. Exam, records, conference, IT, and offices as well as medical waste, soiled, and mechanical/water systems round out the center. Architectural effects include ceiling clouds in reception and dialysis area.

Sweetwater completed this DCA-approved renovation to accommodate the relocation of the Outpatient Infusion Services. The 3,000 square-foot facility consists of a waiting area, reception, exam room, consultation room, file room, kitchen, clean/soils rooms, toilets and a 10-cubicle treatment area with nurse’s station. Scope included demo, partitions, plumbing, sanitary vent piping, medical gases, and electrical with nurse call system. Finishes included custom cabinetry, carpet, and wood flooring. The project was performed within an occupied area of the Medical Arts building.

ARCHITECT: Posen Architects - West Orange, NJ
In the Denville and Dover hospitals, a total of 1,500 square feet was altered to enlarge Interventional space in Radiology (inside the Emergency Room), accommodate new Fluoroscopy, CT and X-ray equipment (in the Cancer Care Unit), and update the Catheterization Lab (within the Cardiac Care Unit). The modifications are necessary to keep up with equipment technology, enhance the ergonomics of the space for patients, doctors and technicians, and apply the latest regulatory standards for design.

This 7,000 square-foot renovation of existing first floor space resulted in a Simulation Center where demonstrations of medical equipment and technology are conducted for prospective clients. The facility, located at the company’s headquarters, includes a model operating room, cath lab, ICU, nursing, emergency room entrance, war room and research room, as well as exhibition, learning, library, and café areas. The war room contains an advanced audio/visual system, with other A/V equipment located throughout the center. This was an NJ Economic Development Authority project.

New 6,000 square-foot veterinary facility with basement. Vaulted ceiling reception area with skylights above separate dog and cat reception areas. Dog and cat wards, 5 exam rooms, surgical suite, dental suite, treatment area, pharmacy lab, ICU recovery, and isolation ward. Steel and wood plank with HardiePlank Lap siding and cultured stone exterior. Site construction includes large underground detention basin.

This primary and specialty care facility is at the basement level of 59-61 Newark Street offering a full-service gym, physical therapy center (Jag-One), imaging (New Jersey Imaging Network), urology, neurology, lab services and more. The focus of this hub location is primary care, and women’s health care featuring ob/gyn exams, mammography, ultrasound, and bone density imaging.
The project required substantial demolition, structural repairs, and exterior updates to include a new entry and vestibule at street level.
