The Witt family and Sweetwater Construction Corp. are excited to announce the establishment of The Captain Ronald C. Witt, Sr. USNR (ret) ’66 Fund for Project Based Learning at the United States Naval Academy! This fund will support Midshipmen, for years to come, in completing USNA Capstone projects that demonstrate mastery of their chosen field of study. The knowledge gained along this journey will benefit the young men and women as they advance their careers in the US Navy and/or private sector.

Ron and Nancy attended Capstone Day on May 1st and felt an incredible connection to Ron, Sr., and the Midshipmen. “Both of us were moved by the commitment each young man and woman has made to the US Navy and our country. These young men and women transition from the Academy to active military service in defense of our great country. Their honor, dedication, and sacrifice should be beacons of hope for all of us to
emulate.” said Ron Jr.

“This partnership was a meaningful way to contribute and honor my husband and his legacy.” said Nancy.

We also wish to extend our thanks to US Naval Academy Alumni Association for their assistance in establishing the project based learning fund.
